WELCOME
THE PUSTERTAL, East Tyrol
Nestled between the peaks of the Villgrater mountains, the Carnic Alps and the Lienzer and Sextener Dolomites is the Austrian part of the Pustertal, which extends from Bressanone in South Tyrol to Lienz in East Tyrol. Both South Tyrol and East Tyrol's part on this section of the Pustertal is called Hochpustertal, especially since this section of the valley, the highest peak and the origin of the two rivers Drau and Rienz represent a watershed between the Black Sea and Adriatic Sea. At the "Puschtran" in East Tyrol, as the locals are popularly called, life runs still a bit slower and you find cozy - family-run accommodation establishments instead of big concrete tourists blocks.
Family Nest Hochpustertal
Especially families will feel at home here, because the 5-day family nest program means pure fun and action for the "elves," as the little are lovingly called by the locals.
Natural and cultural experience, as well as hiking and biking is absolutely trendy. In addition to a 300 km long network of hiking trails in the region here also start the trail or the Carnic Drau bike trail. Culture lovers can look forward to the annual Choir Festival and the numerous cultural events of various artists as well as local clubs.
