Skiing fun, family time and winter experiences at Steinplatte Winklmoosalm

The Steinplatte Winklmoosalm ski area will delight visitors from winter 2025/26 onwards with new highlights and added comfort. Perfectly located in the border triangle of Tyrol, Salzburg and Bavaria, winter sports fans can now look forward to an even more modern ski area for young and old alike.

The new Bäreckbahn, a detachable 6-seater chairlift from Doppelmayr, makes the journey to the summit even more comfortable – equipped with seat heating, premium seats, weather protection hoods and automatic bar locking. The Steinplatte resort is complemented by a state-of-the-art service building with a service station and a new mountain rescue base – for greater safety, service and family friendliness.

With 42 kilometres of sunny slopes, both leisure skiers and sporty skiers will find everything their hearts desire. Wide, perfectly groomed slopes and short waiting times make the high plateau an ideal winter sports destination. The 1.5-kilometre-long Steinplatte snow park offers pure freestyle fun, and the Triassic Funline provides action for all generations with dinosaurs and a wave track.

Particularly attractive for families: Triassic childcare for children aged 3 and above, lovingly organised right on the mountain. In addition, the Triassic Kinderland in the centre of Waidring is once again accessible free of charge for all beginner skiers up to the age of 6 – a real bonus for relaxed family days.

Even without skis, there is plenty to discover: cleared winter hiking trails lead through the snow-covered landscape, from the viewing platform to the Panorama Muschel and the stalactite cave. The Winklmoosalm invites you to enjoy itself with cross-country trails, walking paths and the reopened Würstlalm.

Tip for the price-conscious: on certain dates in January and from 10 March 2026, the day ticket is available at a special price of €41 on Super Tuesday.
With the 3-Country Leisure Arena Card, the SuperSkiCard or the Snow Card Tirol, nothing stands in the way of unlimited skiing fun.

From the 2025/26 winter season, the Steinplatte Winklmoosalm will be offering even more comfort and optimised service for skiers. The journey to the summit will now be pleasantly warm, as the new Bäreckbahn, a modern 6-seater chairlift from Doppelmayr, features seat heating, weather protection hoods, premium seats and automatic bar locking.

Off-piste, too, the ski area is undergoing further development: a newly constructed, state-of-the-art operations building including a service station and a functionally equipped mountain rescue base are setting new standards in terms of safety, efficiency and family friendliness. The Steinplatte is thus taking another big step towards a future-oriented winter sports experience.
