Smučišče Karwendel / Mittenwald

The freeride ski resort of Dammkar extends over 7 km of ungroomed, but avalanche-free high alpine terrain, and is classed as a ski route.

After a 10-minute ascent with the cable car to 2,244 m above sea level, followed by a 5-minute walk through a pedestrian tunnel, enjoy what is probably a one-off on German-speaking soil, namely a unique run down to the valley station, past the resort of Hochkar and mighty walls of rock in the process.
