Starting from behind the gardens of the San Giorgio Canavese castle, near an equipped green area, the route follows a dirt road crossing vineyards, fields, and a small grove. You thus reach the village of Santa Maria where you enter the larger Anello della Morena Ovest: a thematic itinerary about the geological formation of these morainic hills, the nature, and culture of the territory.
The route can be done with any bicycle suitable for dirt roads, but also on foot or on horseback, in both directions.
At the end of the route, you can take the main itinerary in either direction or return via the outbound route.
From the equipped area, take the dirt road that shortly passes through vineyards and fields. Near the Grecia estate, the route makes a hairpin turn and enters the edge of the woods. Shortly after crossing the Molinatto stream, turn left at a fork (signs for Santa Maria della Rotonda). Continue following the Morena Ovest and Alta Via dell'Anfiteatro Morenico signs. Upon reaching SP 54, turn left and shortly after right to enter Santa Maria.

For those arriving via the A5 highway (Turin / Aosta): exit San Giorgio Canavese.
