VALCHIUSELLA Lakes of Alice Superiore and Meugliano

Reach provincial road 68, turn left and after about a hundred meters take the nature trail located near the lake shore. At the first fork turn left and cross a small swampy area on a wooden footbridge. The trail continues in the woods, slightly climbing and ending on a small road. Then turn left going down a little and at a curve take a dirt road on the right that slightly climbs in the woods (remember this point because on the return you will have to come back here to complete the lake walk).

After the tree cover ends, the dirt road merges onto an asphalt road. Turn right and after 200-300 meters turn left and climb (always on a secondary asphalt road) under the shade of the woods. You reach a larger road, turn left and after about a hundred meters take a path on the right. At a widening in the woods, turn right going up slightly then down to reach Lake Meugliano which can be fully walked along its shores. 

For the return, retrace the itinerary in reverse up to the previously indicated fork. At this point turn right and follow the road to the starting point.

Comfortable hiking shoes are recommended

From Turin take Valchiusella via SP 64, upon arriving at Alice Superiore (at the bar Lo Scoiattolo) turn right onto SP 68 and continue until reaching the beginning of the lake. Turn left with signs for Il Pontile 3.0.

From the Ivrea area enter Valchiusella via SP 68 from Lessolo. Then turn right at the end of Lake Alice Superiore with signs for Il Pontile 3.0.

Near Lake Alice Superiore, the GTT (Gruppo Torinese Trasporti) lines 4512 and 4513 pass by.
