This loop covers many secondary and partly unpaved roads, without presenting significant technical difficulties. The ride combines many places of historical and natural interest. Departure is from Castello di Rivoli, an integral part of the Royal Residences circuit, to the Precettoria di Sant'Antonio di Ranverso, the medieval center of Avigliana, up to the Sacra Abbey of San Michele, a symbol monument of the Piedmont Region. The return towards Rivoli runs along the Morainic Hill, with the history of its origin, going back tens of thousands of years, and its roads through woods and fields.
From Castello di Rivoli proceed towards via Reano in the direction of Rosta. Then continue towards the Precettoria di Sant'Antonio di Ranverso, Ferriera, and Avigliana, where you can climb to the historic center to visit the castle ruins atop Monte Pezzulano. From Avigliana follow signs for Sacra di San Michele and Colle Braida. The descent from the hill is on the south side, towards Giaveno. From the Villa di Giaveno area proceed east and reach San Bernardino and then Trana. From Trana climb until you pass Reano, heading towards Buttigliera Alta. Before beginning the descent turn right onto the easy unpaved road of the Morainic hill of Rivoli, which leads back to the starting point.
