OENORANDO® OF THE BALCONS D’ALIGNAN DU VENT

This route starts from the Travers, offering a stunning panorama over the valley and wine-growing villages.

From the cooperative cellar, cross rue de la Guissaume again then cross the parking lot. Take rue des Aires to the left. At the road, go right and at the crossroads, continue straight on D 125. At the next junction, turn left toward Roujan, walk about 20 m, then turn right. Continue straight on rue des Jardins, then turn right on rue de Puech Troupan up to the road. Turn left onto the path along the vines for about 700 m. At the crossroads, turn right and reach a junction. Go left for about 300 m. Go up the track to the left through the vineyard (panorama over the Thongue plain). Further on, cross the road (caution), pass a press to take the alley of pine trees leading to the Domaine de Brescou. After this, turn right, cross the road again (caution) and continue straight through the vines. Take the second track on the right and at the next crossing, continue left (panorama over the causse d’Aumelas, opposite). Descend toward Château de la Baume; go around it to reach D 125. Before the road, take the path on the right along the vineyard for about 500 m, then walk along the road edge for 15 m (caution). Cross and enter left onto the track. After a small hut, the track turns right and leads to a road; take it left for 300 m. Turn right and stay on the main track for 800 m along almond and vine trees. Turn right and continue along the vineyard (please do not walk between the rows). At the end, descend and join a path. Go up left then turn right on the slopes of the Travers, via the fitness trail, panorama over Caux plain (follow the markings carefully). Reach the viewpoint offering a remarkable panorama (picnic tables). Through the track, wind through the vines. At the intersection, turn left and 300 m further, go down right toward Domaine de Bourdic. Pass above it and reach a small road. Go up right and immediately turn left. At the irrigation pump, take right, then reach a road. Twice turn left, then right. At the olive trees, turn left and continue rue du Moulin (to the right, access to the windmill). Continue toward Alignan-du-Vent via rue des Tioulets. At Plan de la Croix, take rue des Aires to the left and join the parking lot, then the cooperative cellar for a tasting.
