CIRCUIT N° 5 CESSENON CAZEDARNES - SITE VTT DU TERROIR SAINT-CHINIANAIS

We start by crossing the village of Cessenon-sur-Orb, and as we leave the latter, we attack a pretty, very physical hill, which takes us over a ridge to the north of Cazedarnes.

Before entering the village, we turn right into a beautiful valley which ends with a slightly technical single-track climb.

We're now on the plateau between Cazedarnes to the south and Pierrerue to the north.

We continue along the crests to the Col de Fontjun, before descending through the vineyards to the ruins of Saint Bauléry.

We stay on the heights south of Cazedarnes and now head for the Abbaye de Foncaude, an "exceptional site" in Languedoc and the region's last example of Romanesque architecture.

Another long passage through the vineyards, before descending to the voie-verte at Sainte Lucie, south of Cessenon. A leisurely return on the voie-verte.
