A castle of unbeatable beauty
“Life’s surprises have unseated even the most confident knights,” Friedrich Schiller once said. It’s easy to imagine how the sight of Strechau Castle must have left many a knight speechless. This castle is simply breathtaking! The breathtaking view, the Baroque-style castle chapel, the massive wine cellar, and the Italian-style arcaded courtyard ensure that this fortress captures the hearts of all visitors—and not the other way around.
Strechau Castle is open from 1 May to 31 October, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 16:00. The castle can only be visited as part of a guided tour. These take place every hour from 10:00 (last tour at 15:00).
