Take the single-seater chairlift into the peaceful mountain landscape of the Kaisergebirge near Kufstein
The traditional Kaiserlift in Kufstein takes you comfortably up to the high plateau of the Steinbergalmen. Even the ride on the single-seater chairlift is peaceful and close to nature.
At around 1,200 metres above sea level, unspoilt nature, varied hiking trails, peaks offering stunning views and a vibrant mountain hut culture await. Information points along the trails draw attention to the importance of nature and wildlife in the nature reserve below the Kaiser Mountains.
The partnership between Bergbahnen Ellmau-Going and the Kaiserlift Kufstein opens up additional opportunities for hiking and nature experiences. Combined tickets for the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental further enhance the offering.
From the middle station of the Kaiserlift, a nature trail runs with 14 interactive stations that promote motor skills, relaxation and an awareness of nature. Puzzles on the Himmelsteig, action-packed stations on the Holzwurmweg, the Spoggolino ball track and interactive animal and nature puzzles make the Alpinolino Westendorf a varied adventure area. The ascent on the Alpenrosenbahn alone ensures a relaxed start to the day on the mountain.
The approximately 1.5 km-long Himmelsteig begins at Talkaser at 1,770 m. Along the trail, 14 interactive stations guide visitors through the world of marmots and other mountain dwellers such as woodpeckers, stoats and mice. Each station presents a little puzzle and invites you to join in. On the Choralpe plateau is the ‘Spoggolino’ ball track, where balls roll up and down at speed.
For some extra exercise, the Holzwurmweg trail from the middle station is ideal. Along the trail, the focus is on playful elements such as drilling, winding and jumping. The route leads past huts and through varied natural scenery.
The trails are family-friendly, and the mountain railway makes access easier. With the Mountain Railway Adventure Card, you can explore other adventure worlds in addition to the Alpinolino.
