Today's parish church Krakaudorf was first mentioned in documents in 1234 as a chapel. In 1427 it was mentioned as a church and in 1445 as a filial church of Ranten. In 1892 the vicariate of St. Oswald was appointed a parish.
The church was built in the 14th century. The choir area was rebuilt by Franz Jager in 1759 - 1764. The northern wall is considered the oldest part of the church, the wooden coffered ceiling with rosette pattern was donated by George of Liechtenstein in 1534. The Filial Church of St. Ulrich in Krakauhintermühlen is a Styrian gem and houses a Gothic winged altar.
