From the Zraunig farmstead, initially about 40 minutes uphill along a forest road. Where the path leaves the forest for the first time, ascend in switchbacks over the alpine meadows.

Alternatively, you can stay on the forest road – this way you will pass by the staffed Bodenhütte.

At another alpine hut, a long, flat traverse begins over the forest road into the alpine area called "Klenitzen." Passing picturesque alpine huts, you eventually reach the somewhat steeper summit slope. Initially, ski on the right side along the ridge higher up; the last few meters are usually covered on foot.

Where available, stay on marked routes; be sure to observe signs as well as protected, conservation, and restricted areas. Consideration for wildlife: avoid feeding sites and immediately and quietly withdraw upon spotting wildlife. Avoid young tree cultures (under three meters), ski edges can cause great damage to the trees. Do not leave any waste behind. Avoid noise.
