We are the Spielbichler family, and we'll show you that even a small hotel has a lot to offer. Our business has been family-run for around 200 years and has been expanded and modernized bit by bit over the years. Today, the E42 Mountainsteil is your place to relax and unwind.

The value isn't always about bigger, more opulent, and more. We combine all the advantages of a larger establishment in a small hotel and add our warm, family atmosphere and our very special Styrian flair.

Rustic coziness, traditionally modern Alpine cuisine, and the charm of the Alps will make every connoisseur's heart beat faster. For us, this begins at check-in and continues all the way to our rooms. Each of the nine rooms has its own unique characteristics and its own flair.

At breakfast, we like to showcase what our local farmers and producers have to offer. In the evening, we move on to the only steak restaurant in the area. It should come as no surprise that great emphasis is placed on homemade dishes and local ingredients, with some even spending time on their own meadow or garden. A cozy atmosphere with local hospitality is a top priority in our family business, allowing you to forget the daily stress of work. Enjoying a drink, savoring our dishes with that special finishing touch, and letting the day come to a close will make every vacation a special experience.

The eastern gateway to the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area – our local mountain, the Hauser Kaibling – is only 300 meters away and can be easily reached on foot.
