Coming from the lake, this cycle path has repeatedly longer ascents that require a bit of endurance. Otherwise it leads very idyllically through vineyards, fields and along wooded areas and is also rewarded with a beautiful view of Neusiedler See. There is a direct connection between Baumgarten and Mörbisch and the possibility to make a "loop" via Siegendorf past the burial mounds.
The route leads from Mörbisch am See via Siegendorf in Burgenland, Klingenbach, and Baumgarten.
AUSTRIA
In Austria, wearing a bicycle helmet is mandatory for children up to 12 years. Reflective vests are not mandatory, especially in twilight, darkness or poor visibility, but certainly advantageous.

Arrival by train:
The Neusiedler See is easily & comfortably accessible by train. Whether you come from Switzerland, Germany, western or southern Austria: You can relax transferring at Vienna main station. The regional trains of ÖBB bring you to Neusiedl am See station in just under 40 minutes, where coordinated bus and train connections towards Eisenstadt are also offered. On most trains, bicycle transport is possible: On Railjet and EC/IC as well as Nightjets a reservation for your bicycle is absolutely necessary. On regional trains your bicycle will be transported without reservation depending on the availability of bicycle spaces.
