Lake-Forest-Meadow Valley - CK2

Starting from the parking lot at the train station, the route leads along the railway line through orchards until the railway line is crossed at the conveyor belt of the gravel pit, and the path continues along the railway line to a fishing lake where, with a bit of luck, a family of beavers can be observed. The many tree stumps marked with gnawing traces and the log dam of the beaver lodge bear witness to the tireless work of these shy animals. At the end of the lake, we turn right uphill and follow above the lake to the crest, where on the left a field path (marked with a red horizontal bar on a white background) winds curving upwards through a hollow and then leads through open farmland to the forest edge. There, a view back over the farmland into the Main valley and Freudenberg is worthwhile. The route continues to the right through light deciduous forest on the downhill gravel path, which leads us into the meadow floodplain of the Kälbesbach. We follow the valley path to the right, cross the stream, and along it downhill we come across a horse paddock into open terrain again. We follow the main path leading left, which at the next right curve turns into an asphalt path and leads us further downhill to the railway line. There we keep left and reach the outskirts of Kirschfurt again after about 1 kilometer.

Coming from Würzburg via the A3 (exit Wertheim or Marktheidenfeld and then right-main side through the South Spessart, coming from Frankfurt via Miltenberg towards Wertheim and changing to the Main side in Freudenberg, you are already in Collenberg.
