On this hike, you get to know Bad Wildbad better and explore the treetops of our beautiful Black Forest. The particularly scenic route starts in the spa park at Trinkhallenplatz and runs through our historic little town. Here you learn all sorts of background about why you see wild boars everywhere and what this has to do with the history of Bad Wildbad. Then you take the summer mountain railway up to the summit of the Sommerberg. From there, continue via sections of the AugenBlick loop to the entrance of the Black Forest treetop walk. Here you enjoy a relaxed walk at treetop height. At the end of the path, you reach the spectacular viewing tower and enjoy the wide view over the Black Forest. Afterwards, you pass the newly renovated ski hut, where you can take a short break. The descent back to the valley leads you via the Sommersteige trail and the Marienruhe car park back to the spa park and finally back to the starting point, Trinkhallenplatz Bad Wildbad.
The hike takes place on the well-maintained and uniformly signposted network of trails cared for by the Black Forest Association. The Black Forest Association maintains and marks the dense network of trails in the Black Forest and its surrounding regions with voluntary commitment.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on the treetop walk.
