Chemin de Montaigne - Stage 3 - Brindas > Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid

Departure from the roundabout of RD311.

1 - Head towards the village of Brindas via the montée du Clos. Pass Verdun square opposite the town hall, turn right then immediately left to take rue de la Traverse. At the end of the street, turn left onto chemin de la Gonarde and right onto chemin du Chazottier which continues as chemin des Barcel.

2 - At the left turn of the path, take the dirt path straight ahead. At the end, cross the road and take chemin de la Guise straight ahead (be careful when crossing this road, visibility is poor and some drivers tend to come a bit fast). Cross route de Bordeaux and take rue de Charpieux, cross route de Lyon then the D70 (rue des Fontanières) and take rue du Recret.

3 - Shortly after the "La Baviodière" post and just before number 13 on the street, take a small dirt path on the left called "chemin des Demoiselles." When you reach the paved road, turn right then straight ahead onto "rue du Laval." At the end of this street, take the dirt path straight ahead and follow it to the hamlet of "Montferrat."

4 - Cross the hamlet by turning right and again right at the intersection, then immediately left onto the dirt path that goes uphill. At the paved road, turn left, follow it to the end of the pavement and continue on the dirt path. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead.

5 - At a fork with a calvary, turn left and follow to the end of the stage, the castle of "Saint Bonnet le Froid."
