Hengstpasshütte

The Hengstpass is one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Kalkalpen National Park.

The high-quality National Park Hengstpaßhütte is located directly at the top of the pass at 964 metres.

Here you will find the last great forest wilderness, the beech forests have been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In winter, the area around the Hengstpass offers numerous opportunities for snowshoe hikes and ski tours.

The Hengstpaßhütte is located on the edge of the Kalkalpen National Park.
The peace and quiet at the hut is unique, which is why we ask you to observe the hut quiet from 10 pm.

We are happy to organise guided snowshoe tours with a national park ranger for groups on request.
