From Grinzing to Sievering through the Vineyards (Wine Hiking Day R1 - Part 2) Vienna/Austria

Trail Description & Highlights:This is Part 2 of the scenic Weinwandertag Route 1, capturing the most peaceful and artistic side of Vienna's autumn landscape.
Leaving Grinzing: The trail starts past historic stone archways covered in ivy and traditional wine cellars, climbing gently into the hills.Forest Paths & Art: Guided by clear wooden trail markers, the route transitions beautifully into shaded paths. A striking modern art installation (colorful stacked rings on the grass) serves as a unique photo spot along the way.Sunset Panorama: The true highlight is the flat section running across the upper vineyard terraces. It offers a perfectly lined-up, breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Vienna skyline glowing in the warm golden hour light.Finishing in Sievering: The trail smoothly descends into the historic, cozy neighborhood of Sievering, making it very easy to catch a bus to the center.
