The short but demanding via ferrata on the edge of the village is ideal for via ferrata beginners. The entry is quickly reached and then it goes about 150 vertical meters steeply uphill. The route lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes and offers challenges in difficulty level K3 with some short sections in difficulty level K4. A great experience after a hike, a ski day or when the mountain railways are not in operation.
Important to know:
A ladder is needed for the entry. It is secured at the entry with a chain and padlock. You can pick up the key at the valley station of the Hohsaas mountain railways or at Zurbriggen Sport.

Plan your route carefully: consider the required fitness and skills of all participants as well as the weather forecast and seasonal dependencies. Wear the correct equipment: mountain boots, climbing harness, via ferrata set with fall arrester and helmet. Inquire at the mountain guide offices about any special features and take a mountain guide if you have no experience in via ferrata climbing. Do not use the via ferrata in rain, thunderstorms, fog or strong wind Take first aid kit, emergency blanket and mobile phone Inform others about your route and if possible never go alone. You can pick up the key at Hotel Alpha, Saas-Grund or at Zurbriggen Sport.The Saas Valley is easily and comfortably accessible by car from all directions, whether from Switzerland or abroad. From the north you reach us via Bern through the Lötschberg car shuttle. From the east you come via the Furka Pass or the Furka car shuttle. From the south we are reachable via the Simplon Pass or the Simplon car shuttle and from the west you drive via Lausanne along the Rhone Valley to Visp and from there towards Saas-Fee.
From Visp you drive south towards Saas-Fee. At the "Killerhof" roundabout near Stalden, take the second exit to Saas-Fee and follow the main road to Saas-Grund.
Take the SBB to Visp and change there to the post bus towards Saas-Fee (Bus 511). Get off in Saas-Grund at the Bergbahnen stop
Parking spaces are available at the valley station of the Hohsaas mountain railways.
