To the Hippoldspitze

The Hippold is one of the little visited peaks of the Tuxer Pre-Alps. Actually incomprehensible, as it offers everything that makes a mountaineer's heart beat faster!
From Camp Walchen we go to the Außermelan Alm Lower Pasture and further to the Außermelan Alm Upper Pasture. From the upper pasture we head more south and follow the path through the wide alpine meadows to the Krovenzjoch. Once at the Krovenzjoch, we have almost made it. From here it is about 30 minutes uphill on steep, marked trail sections to the summit of the Hippoldspitze.
