Circular route - “To the Strudel pots of the Schwarza” - Starting point at the Chrysopras weir - Bad Blankenburg

In the Schwarzatal between Bad Blankenburg and Schwarzburg, narrow rocks confine the river course. Here, the Strudel of the Schwarza have carved round depressions in the slate rock over thousands of years with stones and rubble – the so-called Strudel pots. These are very rare and protected as hydrogeological natural monuments.
