Circular hike - Inner ring trail Meiningen - Werratal

The inner-city circular route runs along the Bleichgräben, which were laid out in the 14th century as defensive ditches and used during the heyday of wool and linen weavers for bleaching cloths. From the tourist information office, you reach the castle park and the beautifully decorated half-timbered house, the Henneberger House. After crossing a street, the walk continues quietly and idyllically along the ditches to the Upper Mill monument and the memorial of the former synagogue. Along a natural flower meadow, the path then leads over the Werra River and a short section of the Werratal bike path. After crossing the arch bridge in the park, you return to Schloss Elisabethenburg.
