Hike "Rennsteig Ladder Oberweißbach" Thuringian Forest

The town’s most famous son is Friedrich Fröbel, founder of preschool pedagogy and inventor of the kindergarten. You can visit his beautiful birthplace and learn a lot about his life in the exhibition.

On your hike to the Rennsteig, you will come directly to the Fröbel Tower, either via a steep ascent along a meadow or more gently along the panorama trail. If you are hiking with children, you should definitely take the Fröbel adventure hiking trail at the Fröbel Tower. The barefoot path and many movement games will surely delight your children. But even for adult hikers, the path is a pleasant change.
