Kneipp spa mile - Bad Tabarz

Bad Tabarz (400m to 916.5m above sea level) is surrounded by forests and meadows and has been a well-known recreation and spa resort since 1870. In 2001, Tabarz was officially recognized as a Kneipp spa resort and in 2016 as a Kneipp health spa. The town has about 4,200 inhabitants, features 2 spa clinics, a thermal bath with a spa treatment center, 4 hotels, many holiday apartments, and private accommodation options. On the 916.5m high "Großer Inselsberg" there is also a hiking hostel. Good air, developed hiking trails (150km), 2 Kneipp facilities, alpine climbing in the Lauchagrund, a pump track, riding arena, cross-country ski trails groomed in winter on the Rennsteig, a downhill slope with ski lift, and the sports and health bath "TABBS" offer many spa guests and holidaymakers relaxing and eventful hours throughout the year. Nearby there is also a summer toboggan run and the Marienglas cave.
