The hiking parking lot at the Reschwitz playground or at the culture barn is the start and end point of this circular route. Some snacks can be packed at the regional shelf for the way. Along the Saale, the path goes over the Ostige to the Wabl Hut, which invites you to take a short rest.
Orchard meadows, once historically significant for the agriculturally shaped village, line the way further to Weischwitz. The idyllic location invites you to take a walk thanks to charmingly renovated half-timbered farms, the church, and the village pond, which could end on the bench under the lime tree at the village square. You can experience lively agriculture today at the Lindenbachhof, a farm with a farm shop and farm café.
From Reschwitz, the path leads over the Ostige past the Wabel Hut to Weischwitz and back over the Weischwitz meadows directly on the Saale.
The hiking & biker refueling station offers an opportunity to refresh before or after the hike.
