Großarl: Kreuzkogel - Arltörl - Schuhflicker - Aualm

Ride with the Panoramabahn Großarltal to the mountain station. This ride makes the ascent easier and you can start directly from above. Uphill it goes quite leisurely along a farm road to the Kreuzkogel, here you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain world. Then continue to the Fulseck, which is the mountain station of the gondola cable car from Dorfgastein. Where in winter the skiers rush down the mountain, you can hike leisurely in summer. Then continue to the Arltörl. This is the deepest notch between Großarl and Dorfgastein and was previously used as a trade route. The hike then leads you to the Aukopf and then to the Schuhflicker.

The Schuhflicker consists of two peaks, the front peak is the Arlspitze. Several climbing routes lead up here, but only suitable for experienced climbers. You have a beautiful view of the Schuhflickersee. After the ascent to the Schuhflicker, continue to the Aualm. Here you will be spoiled with delicacies from your own production. Refreshed, then either return by taxi to Großarl or hike down into the valley on foot.
