Russbach: Bodenberg circular route (8 points)
The circular route leads through bright deciduous forest first to the Bodenbergalm and then to the 1526m high Bodenberg. The path leads back to Russbach via the Rinnbergalm.
Steep ascent to an impressive viewpoint mountain. At the beginning of the hike, follow the Sonnseit´nweg, cross the bridge at a left fork and turn right after a short climb. Then walk a short stretch along the forest road and turn right again. The path leads in large switchbacks to the Bodenbergalm and over a wide mountain ridge to the Bodenberg (1523m). Here you will find, in addition to a wonderful panoramic view, also the stamp station. From the Bodenbergalm a forestry road leads towards Turnaualm. At the fork, go right to Rinnbergalm (stamp station) and back to Russbach.

Coming from the A10 motorway, take the Golling exit towards Abtenau and Russbach. From Bad Ischl, drive via Bad Goisern and Gosau to Russbach.
You can reach Russbach by Postbus No. 470 from Gosau and Golling. Timetable information can be found at www.oebb.at
You will find sufficient parking spaces directly in the centre of Russbach or at the Rinnbach parking lot.

The alpine huts are open from the end of June to September and the dairy farmers serve excellent, homemade cheese specialties
