Neukirchen: Hopffeldboden - Kürsingerhütte

From the fee-based Hopffeldboden parking lot, follow the hiking trail to the suspension bridge that crosses the Obersulzbach. The newly developed Venedigerweg first leads through a bright mountain forest, then over the Kampriesenalm to the Berndlalm. Here the valley widens and you get a great view of the "guardian" of the Obersulzbach valley – the Großer Geiger. Now you walk leisurely along the alpine path, past some alpine pastures, until you finally reach the valley station of the material cable car. Shortly after this, the hiking trail to the left leads towards the Kürsingerhütte. Through the so-called "Klamml", which is partially secured with ropes, you climb higher and higher. After overcoming the steepest part of the path, you get a wonderful view of the glacier forefield with the Sulzsee. On the further ascent, you pass the habitat of marmots. With some luck, you can observe these mountain inhabitants eating or playing. Upon arrival at the Kürsingerhütte, you are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountain world.
