Mountain pastures (No. 78) Krispl-Gaissau, (stamp point 6 points)

From Lasserbauer, follow a field path along the Looswand towards the saddle.

There you can go right towards Schmittenstein and Schlenken, but if you keep sharply left you reach the two managed huts on the mountain pasture after about 3/4 hour walk.

If you choose the longer route, the starting point is the Gaissau town center.

After 400 m along the main road towards Schischaukel Gaissau Hintersee, a beautiful forest path goes to the right.

Always along the Mörtelbach, about 3 km. After a small bridge, the ascent to Zisterbergalm begins.

Passing the four huts (one of which is staffed in good weather), you can already see the saddle.

From there you can hike right towards Schmittenstein and Schlenken.

If you keep sharply left you reach the two managed huts on the mountain pasture after about 3/4 hour walk.

Sturdy footwear and possibly hiking poles are recommended.

The path to the mountain pasture is ideal for children.

At the beginning it goes uphill a bit, but from the saddle it is wonderfully flat to hike.

The children can walk a bit ahead, but you still always have them in view.

By car via the A10 motorway exit Hallein

Halleiner Landesstrasse towards Adnet, continuing to Gaissau, via Wiestal or via Krispl.

In Gaissau town center turn towards Schischaukel Gaissau Hintersee, pass the valley station of the ski lift towards Schmittenstüberl, after about 1 kilometer turn right towards Pfanreit and Lasserbauer, where you can park for a voluntary donation.

This hike is ideal for children. Not too long and not too steep.

The children can walk a bit ahead, but you still always have them in view.

And the playground in front of the huts on the mountain pasture might be an incentive for the little hikers.
