We keep left, cross the street and turn into a small forested area. The route then runs a short distance parallel to the road before we ascend the open slope. From here, you have a fantastic view of the landmarks of Hallein, the so-called Barmsteine. After some time, we meet the ski slope and follow it on the left into the forest. We follow the sign "CAUTION - ascent for ski tourers" on the right and hike further uphill through the snowy forest of the Zinkenkogel. It goes steeply uphill once more next to the red slope, and after some elevation gain, we reach the Zinkenstüberl.
