The family-friendly cycle path around the lake offers views of the Zeller Hausberg Schmittenhöhe, the Hohe Tauern, and the glacier of the Kitzsteinhorn. From Thumersbach to Schüttdorf you pass through a beautiful nature reserve. When cycling clockwise, the scenic changes are best perceived.
From the starting point, follow the well-signed Tauern cycle path to Bruck on the Grossglockner road and continue left to Lake Zell. Along the lakeside promenade and the shore road it is possible to completely circle Lake Zell. The western part of the promenade runs almost exclusively directly beside the lakeshore. The eastern part of the promenade follows the lakeshore road.
The way back is again via the Tauern cycle path.
