S1 Ritzensee - route
Classic lake circuit on wide walking paths with a magnificent panoramic view over Saalfelden.
This running route around Ritzensee starts at the Saalfelden cross-country centre at Ritzensee. Follow the signs first directly along the lake, then somewhat up the hill, and finally back to the lake shore. A fantastic view of the surrounding mountains accompanies you. Due to the gentle slopes, this running circuit is ideally suited for a short training round with impressive panorama.

BY CAR
Coming from Zell am See on the Pinzgau federal road B311, take the second roundabout right towards Maria Alm. Follow the road for about 750 m through the Saalfelden town centre. Turn right and cross the Brandl bridge towards Ritzensee. Follow the road until after about 700 m, the Hotel Ritzenhof first appears on the left and immediately behind it the public parking lot. The parking lot is just a few metres from the starting point.
BY TRAIN
You can enjoy your holiday from the start by train. No traffic jam will stop you from coming to Saalfelden Leogang! Furthermore, the ÖBB timetable helps you quickly and easily find the ideal train connection to Saalfelden station: www.oebb.at (walking distance to the starting point about 30 minutes)
BY BUS
The starting point at the parking lot next to the Hotel Ritzenhof in Saalfelden can be reached by Postbus from Saalfelden town centre. The bus stop "Saalfelden Ritzensee" is a few metres from the starting point. For more information, visit https://fahrplan.salzburg-verkehr.at/
Tip: Book the Loigom-Soifen shuttle by calling +43 662 265500. This way, you can easily and comfortably get to the starting point from various districts of Leogang and Saalfelden. More information can be found at https://salzburg-verkehr.at/shuttle/
Parking is available behind the Hotel Ritzenhof in the public parking lot.
Can be wonderfully combined with the Kollingwald route or the fitness circuit.
