Grießenkar route (SW33)

The challenging route starts in Flachau on the paved Grießenkarweg, always crossing under the Achter Jet gondola, uphill to the Grießenkaralmen and the Kogelalm. It is recommended to stop at one of these alpine huts for a hearty snack. The route then continues downhill past Rupertisee before the path branches off to the right towards the Rote 8er gondola. The route continues past the mid-station, Darmoossee and Niederbergsee, and down to the valley station of the Rote 8er gondola in Moadörfl. From there, you return on the bike path back to Flachau.

Those who still have the desire and energy can leave their bike at the mountain station and continue on foot in about 20 minutes to the summit of Grießenkareck.
