From the Wiesenbad spa park, the first stage leads into the district of Neundorf. The small peaceful district is characterized by its neat houses and half-timbered buildings, the church built around 1900, and the manor which has existed since 1571. The route then continues to the Schönfeld district - the local recreation area "Am Weberteich" is very popular here. Always worth a visit is the "Model Railway Land Erzgebirge" with the largest Spur-1 model railway layout in Europe. On a display area of 770 m², the Ore Mountains around Annaberg-Buchholz from around 1980 are portrayed. Along the Zschopau, the path continues into the district of Wiesa. A prominent building shaping the townscape is the "St. Trinitatis Church," built in 1903/04 and visible from afar. It is the only authentic Art Nouveau church in the Ore Mountains. Now it goes back to the starting point, the district of Thermalbad Wiesenbad. Thermalbad Wiesenbad is known for its thermal healing spring, whose discovery over 500 years ago began the development of the spa and its medical history. Today, the applications of the thermal water offered in the rehabilitation clinic "Miriquidi" bring healing and relief for diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Route of the spa circular trail in 4 stages:
1st stage:
From the Wiesenbad spa park along the white/green/white marking Mühlgraben to near the fish ladder along the Zschopau to the Fünfpfennig bridge over Seidelsgrund to Neundorf up to the junction of Hilliggasse on "Steigel" (approx. 4.5 km)
2nd stage:
Past the Neundorf church, cross the path, through the woodland onto Heidestraße to Schönfeld to the Weberteich (approx. 4.3 km)
3rd stage
From the Weberteich along the village street to the bus stop Gasthof "Zum Löwen", turn left onto the Zschopau valley hiking trail white/red/white, junction from the main road / Auenweg on the left towards Christelfelsen, in Wiesa cross the bridge to Christelfelsen on the right and back onto the Zschopau valley hiking trail to the Zschopau bridge Klemmmühle in Wiesa (approx. 3.4 km)
4th stage
From the Zschopau bridge continue along the Zschopau valley path white/red/white over the bank path along the Zschopau to the Bismarck tower in Thermalbad Wiesenbad, then continue to the Kurpark parking lot (approx. 4 km)
via A72 from the direction of Hof/Plauen to the Stollberg West exit: follow the signs via Zwönitz – Geyer (S258-S260) to Annaberg-Buchholz, from there continue on B101 to Thermalbad Wiesenbad.
via A72 from Leipzig or A4 from Dresden or Erfurt: take the Chemnitz motorway interchange onto A72 towards Hof/Plauen to the Chemnitz South exit. Continue via the Südring on B174 towards Marienberg to the Heinzebank junction. Turn right onto B101 via Wolkenstein/Warmbad to Thermalbad Wiesenbad.
On the Erzgebirgsbahn Chemnitz main station – Cranzahl route there is the barrier-free stop "Thermalbad Wiesenbad."
From there it is only a few meters to the reception of the rehabilitation clinic or to the thermal bath "Therme Miriquidi."
Bus line 400 – connection between Annaberg-Buchholz and Dresden
There are sufficient parking spaces available at the public car park in the town center (cost: €0.50 per day) or in the parking garage (cost: €2.50 per day).
