From the parking lot in the spa town of Seiffen, it is only a short walk along the I-6 to Bahnhofstraße, take the I-6/23 to the right towards Deutschneudorf, drive back up the mountain opposite via the crossroads in the resort town and pass show workshops of Erzgebirge wood art, the world-famous baroque round church and the mining ruin Binge "Geyerin". You can read more about the mining history on the information board. We take the road up the Ahornberg, pass the caravan site and head back downhill to the border town of Deutschneudorf. Here you can visit the "House of Erzgebirge Tradition". On the Czech side, the route continues on the R23 along the border stream to Mníšek and on to below Kliny, a popular winter sports center with its ski lifts. After a large forest section, we come to the Fláje dam and take the R23a to the dam wall, which we leave straight ahead on the I-6/23 to Český Jiřetín. After crossing the border in Deutschgeorgenthal, take the I-6/23 to Cämmerswalde to join the I-6, which you follow to Seiffen. Descending through Cämmerswalde, we soon see the 43 m high dam wall of the Rauschenbach dam from below. Now we turn right to Neuhausen and pass the 1st Nutcracker Museum in Europe and Purschenstein Castle in the town center. Then we have to climb up to the Schwartenberg viewing mountain (789 m), which is sometimes used by paragliders. We reach our destination in Seiffen via Steinhübel, Glashüttenweg and Neuhausener Straße.
