UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
Always behave considerately, kindly, and attentively towards everyone you meet along the way. Take care of nature, do not destroy plants and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk. Remember a garbage bag for the trip and take your waste home with you. Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you. For your own safety, observe all path closures, even on weekends. Park only in designated parking spaces. Leave space for emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery. Please give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.
The route leads from Waldfischbach-Burgalben station through the beautiful Schwarzbach valley via the K32 and directly past the idyllically located Clausensee campsite. Shortly after, it winds and climbs with partly impressive views up to Leimen. From the K32 turning left, the L496 with a rolling profile leads to Johanniskreuz. From there, the hilly cycle path runs parallel to the road to Udo Bölts's home in Heltersberg. Then you ride relaxed back down to Waldfischbach-Burgalben. This round can also be very well combined with route 2.
For our cycling routes, we recommend the following equipment as standard:
(Touring) bike, on hillier routes more gears or electric assistance provide more comfort Bicycle helmet cycling-appropriate clothing, also for bad weather bicycle bag, to store equipment and provisions sunglasses or protective glasses, also protects against insects smartphone with the Rheinland-Pfalz app, for navigation and information on sights, dining options along the route, and more - LINK essential tools and spare parts, if needed charging accessories for e-bike sun protection, especially on routes through fields & vineyardsOur cycling routes often run on paths shared with others. We therefore ask for considerate and friendly cooperation at all times. Winemakers, farmers, and foresters use the service roads through fields, forests, and vineyards for their daily work (also on weekends) and always have priority. Due to work operations and/or weather conditions, these paths can also be dirtier at times. Particular caution is also advised when riding along the (mostly quiet and little-used) roads in and around the Palatinate towns.
