The Klangweg is the flagship of Klangwelt Toggenburg and has been a great success story since 2004, known far beyond the borders of Switzerland. Families, nature enthusiasts, music and culture lovers from all over Switzerland and the nearby abroad visit the unique themed path at the foot of the Churfirsten annually.
The themed path extends over several stages from Alp Sellamatt via Iltios to Oberdorf and is easily accessible from Wildhaus and Alt St. Johann by mountain railways. The perfect family experience with around 30 sound sculptures and installations is complemented by barbecue sites, mountain restaurants, playgrounds, and the incomparable authentic mountain idyll of Toggenburg. In 2024, Klangwelt Toggenburg renewed the Klangweg. The most beautiful and important works of the existing path were carefully restored and re-presented in a classical edition. Thirteen new sound art works are also available to discover.
Whether you hike from Alp Sellamatt towards Oberdorf or vice versa – both are possible and make the Klangweg exciting in many ways!
The themed route starts at Alp Sellamatt and leads over the Iltios to Oberdorf.
