From the parking lot, take the stone staircase opposite, to the left of the town hall, then head right behind it. At 60 m, take the path straight ahead and follow it through the undergrowth.

440 m, 31 T 512311 4822981 Leave the track to continue climbing on the wide path to the left. After 150 m, ignore a parallel path to the right and continue climbing to the left in the hairpin. Further on, leave the path on the left then after 700 m, join the wider path and climb to the left. At the top, at the Maréchal hut (to the left), summit of Pioch, enjoy the panorama on the village of Hérepian, the Monts d’Orb, and the Caroux. Descend via the stony path.

504 m, 31 T 511041 4823824 At the fork, climb to the left and leave the path descending to the right. After 60 m, take the track to the left. Visit a pretty dry stone hut on the left of the track near a cairn. Stay on the track to the village (views over the Biterroise plain). In Caussiniojouls, turn left then immediately right. Make a round trip to the keep then go around the buildings on the left and descend to reach the parking lot.

General recommendations:
• Respect the trail routes to limit trampling of vegetation and erosion. • Learn to know and respect the fauna and flora, especially in sensitive areas. • Leave no trace of our passage, no waste, and carry it to the next bin. • Do not make fires in nature. • Do not damage crops and plantations. • Always remember to close fences and barriers behind us. • Keep dogs on a leash; they could accidentally cause damage or be victims of accidents. • Do not consume water from streams; its apparent clarity does not necessarily mean it is drinkable. • Check with municipalities during hunting periods. Some routes may be dangerous. • Inform yourself about access regulations to nature reserves and Natura 2000 zones (dogs, use of sound devices, and plant picking may be prohibited in some cases).
