Rossmoos Runde

Starting point of your almost two-hour snowshoe or ski tour (short break included). ski tour (short break included) starts at the shelter with information board at the upper Predigstuhl car park high above the Goiserertal.Good winter tyres are recommended.

Follow the yellow markings at a leisurely pace, after just a few steps you will reach the first junction.

Keep left, from here the trail soon turns right into the snow-covered winter forest.
After an easy ascent, you will reach the forest road. Now always follow the markings.

The tour now leads with a moderately easy 20-minute ascent through the forest always along the forest road.

Here you pass the point on the left with the trail markings for the ascent towards Predigstuhl and Leadership Klettersteig.
Continue straight ahead for about 15 minutes.  

Experience the winter landscape at your own pace below the local mountain of Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee.

Pass the unmistakable Obermoos on the right hand side until the next bend.
The yellow markings lead you another 15 minutes slightly uphill to the upper part of the Rossmoosalm.

Leaving the forest, the gigantic view over the snow-covered alpine pasture area and the fantastic view of "King Dachstein" and the mountains of the Inner Salzkammergut and Ausseerland beckon.

Here you can take a break, pause for a moment, forget everyday life and enjoy the Goiserer mountain air intensively and consciously.

Now the tour winds slightly downhill along the summer trail through forest and clearings in about 20 minutes back to the starting point - you'll be a little faster on touring skis.
