With an area of more than 100 ha, the Etang des Landes is the largest pond in Limousin. Classified as a Nature Reserve in 2004, this wetland of very high biological value is home to nearly 600 animal species. The floral richness of the Etang des Landes is reflected in the presence of 430 surveyed plant species.
To discover it, park your bikes in the parking areas of the rest area and walk around the pond.
Both the very young and the older ones will be amazed to observe the varieties of egrets, herons, and many other species, from the observation hides provided for this purpose.
