The spiritual hiking route from monastery to monastery connects the Benedictine Abbey Königsmünster in Meschede and the Bestwig Mountain Monastery of the Sisters of Saint Mary Magdalene Postel. Both monasteries are about 15 kilometers apart, a day's stage from each other.
The path consists of two routes. The northern route leads via Eversberg and Föckinghausen. The route goes over two hills with 100 to 200 meters of elevation each, but the paths are well developed. Nine impulses invite you to reflect on your own life path. They deal with topics such as mobility, preservation of creation, taking responsibility, encountering the new and strangers, or our dreams and visions. Ideally, both routes can be combined with an overnight stay in one of the monasteries and visiting the services or prayer times there in the morning and evening.

By train to Meschede station. From there it is about an 800 m walk to Königsmünster Abbey.

The accompanying booklet for the spiritual hiking route from monastery to monastery was published in spring 2020 in a second, revised edition. The 52-page booklet is available for a fee of three euros at the Königsmünster Abbey shop and the monastery gate of the Bestwig Mountain Monastery, as well as at the Bestwig Tourist Information. It includes overview maps of both routes, a detailed route description, all texts of the spiritual impulses, and information about the two religious communities and the monasteries.
