Route 14: From the Weperkamm to the mountain lake

From Fredelsloh you cycle up a long climb into the southeastern forests of the Solling. You will hardly meet anyone here. In the idyllic Grimmerfeld, turn left. The forest soon clears until you cycle parallel to and with a view of the Rehbachtal until Delliehausen. Near the mountain lake at Delliehausen, it becomes steep; you go up a dirt forest path – no shame in pushing. You can rest a bit on easier terrain until Volpriehausen; only there follows the next climb. Around Goseplack, the route is a bit rougher, slightly more demanding on riding technique, and increases riding fun. After speeding down a descent into Hardegsen, you can explore this pretty half-timbered town a bit or stroll around the castle grounds. Continuing on the signposted MTB route, after leaving Hardegsen, you pass the wildlife park. Visitors have free admission there all year round.
You leave the Solling, but that doesn’t mean there are no more climbs. Now you climb the Weperkamm, from where you have great views of the Solling to the west but also towards the Harz to the east at several points. You ride for several kilometers along the Weperkamm in gently hilly terrain.

From Einbeck, follow the K 510 to Hoppensen and turn left onto Am Rittergut, then follow L 547/L 580 to Fredersloh.
