Bad Erlach cultural hiking trail (short route) (BE 2)

<p>This route description refers to the start via Thermenstraße. Since it is a circular hiking trail, starting in the opposite direction is also possible.</p><p>From the Bad Erlach thermal car park, the path leads over the roundabout onto Thermenstraße. At the T-junction, turn right into Wiener Neustädter Straße, cross the railway tracks, and then turn right into Bahngasse. Following the street layout, turn left at the next intersection to enter Fabrikgasse. This street leads to the river crossing, which opens into Ufergasse. After the bridge, the path continues straight cross-country until Blumenstraße is reached. Here, turn right and then left onto Rosaliastraße.</p><p>At the next opportunity, turn right onto Lambacherstraße and at the following intersection left onto Brombergerstraße. The path continues until the brickworks, where you turn right into Bergweg. This leads to a hiking trail, which you follow straight ahead until turning right downhill onto a path. The path leads down into the village.</p><p>At Heuweg, turn left onto Wiener Neustädter Straße. Then follow a right turn into Brunner Straße, continuing until the intersection with the "Schwarzer Weg". Here, turn and follow the path along the railway tracks. Finally, go left uphill to Thermenstraße, where Schloss Linsberg is passed. Keeping right, the path leads past the forest cemetery back to the thermal car park.</p>

<p>Always bring suitable maps. Wear sturdy shoes adapted to the route, take sun and rain protection, as well as water and a snack. Take your mobile phone with you and save the emergency mountain rescue number: 140</p>

Inform yourself in advance about the weather forecast. The weather in the mountains can change unexpectedly quickly. Therefore, always start suitably equipped (e.g. rain protection). Check if the huts and snack stops you want to visit along the way are open. <p>You can reach us by car via the South Motorway A2. At the Wiener Neustadt junction, switch from the A2 to the S4 towards Eisenstadt. Leave the S4 at Exit 16/Wiener Neustadt South and turn left into Günser Straße. Follow the road for about 2.5 km and turn left into Erlacher Straße. Follow the road. At the roundabout use the 2nd exit and continue straight until the outskirts of Bad Erlach. Before the railway crossing, turn right into Thermenstraße and continue straight ahead. You will reach the thermal square in Bad Erlach.</p>
