Gauermann-Rundtour über zwei Kämme
From the parking lot of the Gauermann Museum, you walk gently down to the Gauermann farm. Passing the farm on the left, go down to the main road and continue along the "Wurzelsteig" to the Gauermann hut....
From the parking lot of the Gauermann Museum, you walk gently down to the Gauermann farm. Passing the farm on the left, go down to the main road and continue along the "Wurzelsteig" to the Gauermann hut.
Then follow the ridge---watch out, the entrance to the ridge hike is not well marked!---across meadows and wooded areas to the view of the Schneeberg.
There the trail branches off at a 90 degree angle to the left into the valley to the road, which you reach after a while.
Cross the road and follow a forest road to the start of the steep ascent to the hut.
There you descend again into a saddle and follow the forest road back to the Gauermann Museum.
(Attention! At the time of this description, the gorge is closed due to falling rocks; therefore, it is not possible to make a detour across it).
