Dirndlblüten-Wanderung vom Steinschalerhof über den Geisbühel zur Spitzmauer

This varied hike combines nature, regional specialties and impressive views in the Pielach Valley. The starting point is the Steinschalerhof in Rabenstein an der Pielach - an ideal starting point for connoisseurs and nature lovers.
The journey is particularly convenient and car-free with the Mariazell Railway to the Steinschal-Tradigist stop. This train station is located right next to the Steinschalerhof - it is only a few steps (approx. 50 meters) from the platform to the hotel. This means that no additional transfer is necessary.

A visit to the Dirndl show garden at the Steinschalerhof is worthwhile right at the start of the hike. Here you can admire the dirndl bushes (cornelian cherries) and - depending on the season - their flowers or fruit and learn more about the significance of this typical Pielachtal plant.

From the Steinschalerhof, the hike continues along the sunny southern side of the Geisbühel. The trail runs through quiet forest sections and open landscapes and offers beautiful views of the Pielach Valley time and again. The south side makes for particularly pleasant, bright sections of the trail.
The route then continues to the Spitzmauer in Rabenstein. This section is a particular highlight of the tour: once you reach the viewpoint, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Pielach Valley and the surrounding Alpine foothills as far as the Ötscher - ideal for taking a break and enjoying nature.
After the hike, you can enjoy a cozy stop at the Steinschalerhof. The restaurant is known for its regional cuisine with a focus on wild herbs and products from the Pielach Valley and rounds off the tour perfectly in culinary terms.
