The Kaiserspitz route leads through varied landscapes of the Wienerwald and offers several sights along the way. A scenic highlight is the Wienerwaldsee, which the route passes on the south side and is ideal for a short break. The climb to Kaiserspitz rewards with a beautiful view over the hilly landscape. In addition, the route passes through Pressbaum and several typical Wienerwald forest paths, offering mountain bikers a varied riding experience on asphalt, gravel, and forest paths.

In Pfalzau we start immediately on the way into the forest and follow the signs to Rekawinkel, where we cross the B44 and come back into a forest area via Forsthaus and Rittsteig streets. We continue along the marked mountain bike route "Kaiserspitz route" from Almstüberl, now also unpaved, towards Pressbaum. On the B44 we ride through Pressbaum to the Wienerwaldsee, now on the south side of the lake towards Wolfsgraben, from where we cycle back to Pfalzau via Tabor and Forsthaus streets.

Surface: Asphalt 33%, Gravel 66%, Forest/Meadow 1%

A safe and functional mountain bike is a prerequisite for all routes. Helmet and gloves protect against falls and can be supplemented on single/shared trails by knee and elbow protectors. A modern mountain bike with disc brakes and sufficient tire tread is recommended. For single and shared trails from the red difficulty level, a fully with modern geometry is recommended. Tools, tire levers, pump, and spare tube help in case of a breakdown. Sufficient provisions (drinks and food) should also be carried, as well as a mobile phone and wind/rain jacket.

Before every ride check functionality of brakes, tires, and suspension fork/damper. Always ride with hazard awareness and controlled speed and adapt route choice to the riding skills of the group and the ground. The <a href="www.wienerwald.info/mountainbiker-fai... Play rules must be observed at all times. Single/shared trails as well as built routes in trail parks and trail centers have more stones, roots, steep sections, steps, and sharp turns, requiring certain riding skills. When in doubt, just get off and push your bike.

A1 exit Pressbaum, at the roundabout onto B44 direction Vienna, turn right at Pfalzauer Straße, continue to Pfalzau.
