A completely new electronic Ruostejärvi water nature trail has been placed between Villa Erik and the Eerikkilä Sports Institute. The route is 2.2 km long and has 8 checkpoints related to the water nature and protection of Ruostejärvi. When you arrive at the checkpoints, your phone will give a notification sound, allowing you to answer a simple multiple-choice question. Between tasks, there is plenty of time to focus on paddling or SUP boarding and the stunning scenery of Ruostejärvi. At the end of the nature trail, you will also get a summary of your water knowledge.
The Häme lake highlands and the shimmering austere Ruostejärvi open in a new way to both children and adults via the water nature trail. Whether your vehicle is a canoe or a SUP board, the Ruostejärvi Pro game can be played on your phone, for example, protected by a waterproof phone pouch. The game is found in the DigiTrail app and is easy to download on site. The water nature trail loops between Villa Erik and the Eerikkilä Sports Institute, so there are two starting points. The route is 2.2 km long and along it there are 8 checkpoints related to Ruostejärvi's water nature and protection. When you arrive at the checkpoints, your phone will give a signal sound, allowing you to quickly answer a simple multiple-choice question. Villa Erik
From Highway 2 (Helsinki-Pori), turn onto Härkätie (2824), drive 1.5 km and turn left to the parking area. When coming along Hämeen Härkätie (2824) from Portaan village, turn right to the parking area according to the signs.
Eerikkilä Sports Institute
From Highway 2 (Helsinki-Pori), turn onto Härkätie (2824) as per the signs to Eerikkilä Sports Institute, drive about 3 km and turn left, then the institute is about 1 km ahead. When coming along Hämeen Härkätie (2824) from Portaan village, turn right according to the signs, then the institute is about 1 km ahead.
