The hiking trail through the Wolschart Forest offers a fascinating experience in the nature of Central Carinthia. The starting point is typically near Steuerberg, where the well-marked path leads through dense forests and along picturesque trails. During the hike, hikers can enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings and occasionally come across historical remnants that provide insights into the region's past. Rest areas along the way offer the opportunity to enjoy the silence of nature and listen to the sounds of the forest. This path is ideal for nature lovers and hikers who want to explore the pristine landscape of Central Carinthia.

The dignified starting point is the St. Georgen Abbey, which clearly shapes the landscape at Längsee. The hiking trail passes by Gut Rottenstein with its extensive agricultural fields and eventually enters the notorious Wolschart Forest, where the robber Simon Kramer once caused trouble. A detour to the Maria Wolschart Church is worthwhile; in the shade of the mighty tree crowns, you can take a reflective rest. The return path leads through the forest and over open fields with impressive views of Längsee and its surrounding scenery. After crossing Längseestraße, we follow the pedestrian and bike path towards the bathing beach, where a culinary break is recommended. The hiking circle closes again at the St. Georgen Abbey.
Good footwear, drinking supply, and sun protection are recommended.
