Extended circular hiking trail Frauenstein - Lake Kraiger (27a)

Frauenstein Castle is the starting point of this beautiful shaded hike. North of the castle, follow the forest path along the Frauenstein ponds to the Kraiger castles (ruins). At the viaduct, keep right and continue along the forest path past a wilderness until you reach the Panorama trail above Lake Kraiger. Continue towards Seebichl. In front of the Seebichlhof, watch for the red arrows painted on a long agricultural building. The path then leads you past the farm heading west. You walk along the forest edge of the Kulm, come to a farm, and keep right. Now go uphill a bit, at the second fork in the forest (about 1 km after the Seebichl guesthouse) turn left and continue towards Gassing. When you reach the first houses, a forest path branches off to the right; follow it slightly uphill to a wayside shrine. Here turn left onto a forest path – before reaching the main road, you can already see Frauenstein Castle. Now walk back on the main road to the starting point of the hike.

At the starting point of the hike, you will find a fountain where you can refill your drinking water supply with cool water.
